Calorie Cup 2026 – Moving for a Good Cause

| 1 min read

From 29 June to 10 July 2026, Syntegon once again brought its Calorie Cup initiative to life.

Syntegon’s Calorie Cup 2026 turned employee activity into donations, raising over €10,000 for local charities worldwide.

First launched in 2020, the initiative combines physical activity with social commitment. Over the course of two weeks, employees from Syntegon locations around the world tracked their burned calories. Based on the principle of 1 calorie = 1 cent, or the equivalent in the local currency, the participating sites donated the proceeds to a variety of local charities, predominantly supporting children’s health, cancer research and education.

Colleagues from 15 sites – including Bristol, Crailsheim, Dresden, Goa, Hangzhou, Lisbon, Mumbai, New Richmond, Raleigh, Remshalden, Shanghai, Stuttgart, Terrassa, Toronto, and Umbergaon – took part in the 12-day challenge that transformed movement into impact. Whether running, cycling, swimming, walking, hiking, or taking part in many other activities, employees embraced the challenge with great enthusiasm, demonstrating that every calorie burned could help make a difference. The response was inspiring, with 269 employees joining the initiative and collectively raising more than 10,000 euro.

More than a fitness challenge, the Calorie Cup is a shared experience that encourages healthy habits, brings colleagues across sites together, and shows how small actions can create a meaningful collective impact.
